Location: ABC Services in Cheltenham
Salary: £32,000 (DOE) + Bonus
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a confident and customer-focused Garage Front of House Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our busy workshop. This role is ideal for someone with excellent people skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional environment.
ABC Services is a family run Cheltenham Garage established in 1968 providing MOT, servicing, accident repair, and more in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.
Our aim is to focus on giving complete customer satisfaction. We offer an integrated quality service from our on site specialist departments for any type of repair on all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers and handling front desk enquiries
- Booking vehicles in and out of the workshop
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Producing job cards, estimates, and invoices
- Taking payments and managing customer records
- Liaising between customers and workshop staff
- Providing clear updates on vehicle status and repair progress
- Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
Essential Requirements
- Previous reception, customer service, or service advisor experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confident use of computers and booking systems
- Professional appearance and friendly manner
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience working in a garage, dealership, or automotive environment
- Knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair terminology
- Experience with garage management systems
- We are also open to candidates with Service Advisor experience who can manage customer bookings, upsell services where appropriate, and support workshop operations.
